it is very one compared to the technical, there r 25 questions out of which 15 is cutoff. it consists of
1. puzzles test
there r six frnds rani, sushma , ........... and there having differnt color car and sports are given . Some question r posed on these data(5 q)
2.order or type of sentence
1.assertion 2.supporting assortion 3.counter 4. irrespective
4 sentence r give and 4 choose r also , we must find the correct choce . these is based on logical thinking (5 q)
3.Data Suffciency(5Q)
4.some question r if * is -,%is + such question are(5Q)
5.attention to details(5 Q)
VERBAL
this is very tough one there analogies(5 Q) basically from GRE, Correction of sentence(5 Q), fill the black with proper word OR meaning of word in sentence( 5 Q). cuttoff is 8 marks
after that hr and technical round these very to go through concetrate on tell me about u r self and brush up with micro prosss......., DBMS, core subjects, OS

Hello friends.. I got placed
Hello friends.. I got placed in SYNTEL.. its a good company.. until later I realised it later.Hope my review would help u irrespective of u get selected or not. I reached the test centre at 0910 hrs.. while the reporting time was suposed to be 0800 hrs. Well everyone were late engh.. tht didn't matter though. The written test started at 1130 hrs. Duration : 1 hour.
The written test had 2 sections : Logical & Verbal
The Logical section had 25 questions and cut - off 15.
The Verbal section had 15 questions and cut-off 8 .
But I strongly believe that the cut-off marks were varied a little up & down.. though not by a big margin. The logical sections include symbols, coding, blood relations, series and 2 DI questions.
The verbal section consisted of correction of sentences, substitution of correct words, and passages. Rating of the exam will be characteristic frm person 2 person.. so I wouldn't comment on that.
Results were announced, a brief inroduction abt the company was given. The next round was a Technical cum HR round conducted in 2 stages.
First I was called for the HR round. It was a lady. She was a little serious with me unlike was friendly with others as thy said.
She : Tell me abt urself .
me : blah blah.
She : took out a form , asked my full name and mobile No.
me : given.
She : wat did u like in the presation of the company given.
me : I liked ur explanation, my scope in the company and the company's interest in the employee.
she : where do u want 2 c urself years frm now.
me : I'd c myself in a good position, around respectable ppl in the society.
she : don't u have any aims/ goals. get specific..
me : well ma'am am good at VHDL, VLSI, MPI and very good in C. Tht explains tht I like my field. I am lookin 2 shift to software through Embeded systems which would serve both my learning so far & the sotware boom now in the market. ( folks am frm ECE engineering stream )
she ( seemed not at all interested gave a more rather grin face ) : wat is the architecture of 8085 ?
me : asked for a paper, she gave.. I thought for abt 30 sec.. and finally answered I DON'T KNW.
she (gave an akward smile engh 2 irritate me but gotta 2 get my cool back ) : wat r the address and data lines of 8085 ?
me : told.
she ( seemed dissatisfied ) asked the same for 8086 ?
me : told.
she : architecture of 8086 ?
me : drawn.
she : draw the pin diagram of 8086.
me : drew.
( FOLKS IF U NOTICE I SEEM 2 HAVE BOOTED ABT MY ACADEMIC KNOWLEDGE IN THE PREV QUESTION.. SO SHE WAS AT IT.. NOT ALL WILL B ASKED THE SAME DON'T WORRY )
she : What r ur hobbies ?
me : Told .
she : Asked me specific documents one by one.
me : I handed over them exactly in the same order one by one as soon as she asked for. she got imressed.
I was told 2 wait outside. the technical round started in abt 10 min. I wnt in & shooke hand he was startled.
asked me wat was I good at.
I answered C & DS.
he asked me in deep abt DS & jus the basics of C.
asked me abt header files.. I explained him all abt it in detail he got impressed. and gave some problem which had a user defined header file.
I answered & he got confused.
I explained frm strach line by line.
he asked me 2 chnage the value of a variable without using assignment operator.
I took a little time & took an array & mixed pointers.. and changed the base address of the array.
he was damn damn impressed, while during all this process I used the assignment operator four times.
More than the answer thy look at ur approach.
he asked me abt printf function unions & structures, stacks..
