Employment Notice NO. 3/2007(NTPC& Other for Western Group)

DATE OF ADVERTISEMENT: 03.11.2007   .
(For candidates residing abroad and Andaman, Nicobar & Lakshadweep islands, closing date is 18.12.2007 and time 17.00Hrs.)

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up of posts by Railway Recruitment Boards on Zonal Railways/Production Units mentioned against each post

Important The Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admissions to the examination. Their admission to all stages of the selection will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of call letter to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the Recruitment Board. RRBs take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only at the time of Certificate Verification. In case a candidate does not fulfill the entire requirements prescribed in the Employment Notice, his/her candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage

2. Candidates Should Apply Only To One RRB For One Post:
A candidate shall apply against the vacancies of only one RRB for a particular category of post. The candidate shall, however, be free to apply to more than one RRB in case he /she wishes to apply for more than one category of post. Candidates applying to more than one RRB for different posts will be doing so at their own risk as examination for more than one category of posts may be held simultaneously

 3.Application Form:
  The format of application form and personal data sheet is given at RRB-01 and RRB-02 along with required annexures. The format published in the 'Employment News/Rozgar Samachar' can also be neatly photocopied on a A-4 size 80 GSM paper and used. The format can also be neatly typed on good quality A-4 size (80 GSM) paper using one side only. Application forms can also be downloaded from RRB website

4. On-Line Registration of Applications:
 The facility of 'On-Line registration of applications' for RRB-Ajmer is available on www.rrbajmer.org. Candidates wishing to register on-line, should log on to the website and register online and take a print out of the registered application. The downloaded and filled in application duly signed and left hand thumb impression & photograph affixed at the relevant columns should be sent to the concerned RRB office along with attested copies of caste certificates (for SC, ST & OBC candidates), fees (for UR & OBC candidates) , disability certificate in respect of person with disabilities, experiences certificate for the candidates applying against Cat. No. 06 and Discharge certificate/NOC (for ex-servicemen/Govt/Rly candidates), OBC declaration of the candidate himself. The downloaded application will be rejected if not in proper format and not accompanied by the requisite enclosures

5. Online Examination : The RRBs, at their discretion, may hold online computerized examination for all or any of the categories of posts mentioned above. Candidates applying to these posts, therefore, should have basic knowledge about use of computer mouse & key board operations

 The office and website addresses of both the participating RRBs, their telephone numbers, information regarding applications to be addressed to whom and fee payable etc. are given below :

7. Examination Fee:
For OBC and UR candidates, examination fee is Rs. 40/- for posts carrying a scale of pay up to 3050-4590 , and  Rs. 60/- for  categories of posts with higher scale of more than 3050-4590. The RRB-wise breakup of fee payable for each category and the details regarding IPOs/DDs to be 'drawn in favour' and also 'payable at' are given at para-08 under Important Head.

8. How to Apply:
 1. Application form consists of two sheets.(a) APPLICATION FORM and (b) PERSONAL DATA SHEET. Both should be in conformity to A-4 size as per Employment Notice on a good quality (80 GSM ) white plain paper
2. The Application Form and Personal data sheet and required Annexure complete in all respects along with enclosures, as applicable in Para 15 below, should be securely tagged. The envelope containing the application should be super scribed" Application for the post of _____Category No.____" and community"           " should be clearly indicated on the envelope, i.e. SC/ST/OBC/UR/Ex-servicemen
